This necklace set is inspired by the legend about the churning of the ocean, known as Samudra Manthan.
Kurma meaning turtle is the avatar of Lord Vishnu to assist the devas during the same.
The oversized red stones in the choker are framed by pearls and polkis to take the form of a turtle.
The strings of pearls and their pure white colour are inspired by the serpent king, Vasuki who was coiled around like a rope to churn the ocean of milk in the same legend.
